The countdown to the end of the year is on! Students, keep working hard to keep your grades up and stay on top of your homework! As counselors, we are always here to help you stay on track academically and provide emotional support. If you ever need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Seniors, if you have Credit Recovery, make sure you are working on it! With graduation right around the corner, getting all your credit recovery done ASAP is so important. To be able to receive your diploma and participate in the Graduation ceremony, the final deadline for senior credit recovery is May 10th.

Nebo District is offering a mental health screener for students on April 22 at Diamond Fork Middle School from 4 pm to 8 pm. We will be using Terrace Merics software to measure mental and emotional strengths, as well as screen for anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation of students in grades 6-12. The assessment tool takes an average of 15 minutes to complete. Afterward, you and your student will meet with a school counselor or social worker to discuss the results of the assessment and receive resources as needed. Prior to taking the mental health screener, a consent form needs to be completed by the parent/guardian.

Local Scholarships

Local Scholarships are open, and deadlines are approaching! Most local scholarships are due April 10th, but the deadline depends on the scholarship. Local scholarships are a great way to get money for college, and since there is a smaller pool of applicants, your chances of getting them are higher! If you have any questions, please reach out to our college access advisor, Grace Culley.
